I’ve always been annoyed searching for recipes only to find that I am missing half of the ingredients for all of them. Though we always have a pretty stocked fridge, I find that I never know what to make with what I have. While searching on the internet, I stubbled upon this website called My Fridge Food which is meant to help people find recipes that they can cook with what’s already in their fridge. I thought this was a great idea, so I tested it out a bit.
The website was not the most visually appealing and it was rather littered with ads, but I found it to be helpful. I started by checking off ingredients that I knew were in my kitchen. I chose a lot of the “(in general)” options. However, if you want to be more specific, you can click on the top right corner to see all ingredient options. This will help narrow down your recipes.
After I submitted all of my ingredients, the website showed me a decent selection of simple recipes that I could make using only the food I already had. I found this to be extremely helpful. I appreciated seeing so many different recipes that I could make right now if I wanted to. I would like to try out this website again in the future when I’m off my diet and need some meal ideas.
