Hi all, my name is Alycia! I was born and raised here in Regina, Sk. I am in my second year as a secondary teacher majoring in health, minoring in social. I have always loved working and caring for others, I also have a major love for travelling, and food which is a great perk when travelling. I have been to 12 different countries and hopefully many more in the future. I love to experience new culture, traditions, and living experiences and I believe I get this both teaching and travelling.
I have quite a bit of limited experience with educational technology. I have used WordPress and edusites for previous education classes. I have also used Kahoot!, Google Classroom and Canva as tools for my students and myself. I think one thing I would eventually like to learn is how to create a digital escape room for my students, think this is a good way to utilize curricular content, technology and enjoyable learning practice.
I am not really a big blogging type person. I was in Croatia and Greece for my Honeymoon in May and I “blogged” in my personal notes about what I liked or wish we did differently in each city. Aside from that, I have never really blogged before, other than for an early ECS class in my undergrad. That being said I am excited to continue to learn about educational technology and how to utilize different tools in the classroom.
