As we enter December and EDTC 300 comes to a close, I want to acknowledge how I contributed to the learning of others throughout the semester.
First off, I want to acknowledge that I was having issues with my discord account, so I was in then out and back in but late to the party.
However, I tried to respond to questions on discord when I could. Oftentimes questions were asked during the workday while I was teaching so I was not able to respond, and the questions were already answered by several people. When I did have the opportunity I would offer some potential resources and answer clarifying questions classmates had. I did not ask any questions in this forum as my question was already asked and answered or I found the solution prior to.
Here are some examples from my contributions using discord.
Discord was a fine resource to use, however, for myself I get overwhelmed and overstimulated by receiving an abundance of notifications. This seems like a tricky way to associate the efforts we put into the class while also considering that many of us have busy lives outside of school and are unable to read dozens of messages and respond at any point in the day. I downloaded the app because it made the most sense since this is marked as part of our contributions but not sure I agree this should have a heavy weight on our class participation. I am sure this was a great resource for some and I am happy for those that it was beneficial for.
I made sure to comment on classmates’ blogs each week. I tried to provide meaningful comments and ask questions to engage in conversations. I often commented on a minimum of 4 posts each week since we were expected to comment on 3-5 I felt this was a happy medium. In these comments, in addition to making them meaningful or asking questions I also tried to incorporate my experiences with shared resources or suggestions to try in the future.
From this evidence I believe I contributed in the best ways I could. This is a very new form of engagement that I am not overly confident or comfortable with. While some of my fellow bloggers seem to really strive and have contributed significantly to my learning this semester. I also hope thatI was able to contribute to theirs as well.

It is clear that you have engaged with students regularly. I agree with your closing comments, this form of engagement is also very new to me, but I have very much enjoyed the experience.
