Educational Philosophy

I believe everyone deserves to be included.

Inclusivity is very important to me, especially in a school setting. As a teacher I want to teach the importance of being inclusive to my students, and make sure everyone feels included.

I believe that listening is as important as talking, if not more.

You can learn something from everybody you speak to. I think it is important to be a good listener as a teacher, because everyone can teach you something and has a different perspective.

I believe in the importance of affirmations and a positive mindset.

Affirmations and a positive mindset make a big impact. Schools can sometimes be a frustrating place to be, but positivity is important to get through it.

I believe that accessibility is essential, no matter how diverse a person’s needs are.

Everybody deserves to access education, whether you are affected by physical or mental disabilities.

I believe that it is important to share your mistakes, so that other people make different ones.

Sharing experiences is important to prevent the same mistakes from happening over and over again. It is beneficial to learn from others’ mistakes so that you do not make the same ones yourself.
