Educational Assistant

My time working as an educational assistant is my motivation to become a teacher. I spend time in classrooms as extra support helping out wherever is needed, but specifically with children who have special needs or disabilities. This has provided me with a lot of experience in a school setting, and managing difficult situations. My opportunities having contracts at different schools have allowed me to form special relationships and connections. These relationships have inspired me to pursue a career in education.

Bricks 4 Kidz

I also instruct lego programs for Bricks 4 Kids. This includes after school programs, birthday parties, and camps. We sometimes use batteries and motors to create moving lego objects, such as cars and ferris wheels. Building lego allows the children to have creative freedom, and they love it! Working these camps has proved to me the importance of experiential learning, and learning through play.
