I started out this week wanting to edit glowing objects in (character/movie/show) edits.Upon googling “videopad glow effects specific object,” nothing useful showed up //I mean, even the software’s official website only had this on glow effects specifically//, so I just planned on just playing around with the effect in the program. I started thinking about what subject I wanted to edit.
I opened up the playlist I’ve started in Spotify for editing audios, and listened to the songs (there’s so few of them that this is feasible), concentrating on what characters/scenes I would use for which songs.
I just watched Scream I and II this weekend for the first time, so I wanted to edit that. I decided on editing Scream I after listening to Riot by Hollywood Undead //here’s a link to the song on YouTube if you don’t have Spotify Premium//.
After going through the scenes I wanted to edit to “Riot” I didn’t see any that warranted glowing in my opinion, so I scrapped that idea for this week. I changed my focus to creating an edit that I like. With experimentation as my instructor, I got closer to this goal than I was expecting to. I want to edit transitions and text transitions for this edit to increase my appreciation of it/increase its quality in my opinion.
In the beginning of editing, I just wanted a song that had a fast beat so I could switch (transition) between clips really quickly, but then I got too focused on the lyrics matching the clips, and some of the lyrics don’t even match up so it is kinda desultory either way.
I will be coming back to this edit to do better transitions, but here’s where I’m starting.
