Reflections

Assignment Description: Every second Sunday, you will publish a record of your engagement with course materials (and beyond). This record will include posts of reflective text in response to readings, videos, class discussions, photos, screen captures and other media. Make sure you refer to the rubric I will use to mark each reflection page and also the final self-assessment rubric so you can have a sense of how you will be evaluating all your e-portfolio pages in the end. Make sure you include responses to course readings; these can be thoughts about what you have learned from the reading or things you want to know more about after completing the reading. Keep in mind that the goal of this course is to work at increasing your critical multilingual language awareness (see García, 2017). So you may keep this goal in mind and discuss this as you document your engagement with course materials. When I complete readings, I often search for new information. This is also part of how you engage with texts. So on your reflection page, you can also include links to other materials that you found while thinking and searching about a reading, viewing, or podcast. Be creative, document your learning and have some fun with each reflection page. I will review and mark each of these reflections as you complete them (each page will be worth 6% of your final mark).
