Learning to learn

Hi, my name is Benjamin, I am an exchange student from Chile here in Regina, and regardless of my achievements, my study habits suck.

That’s why I decided to make this blog about “learning to learn”, this way I can push myself to make an effort and organize myself to accomplish this goal.

I will start with 30-60 minutes a day, so I can at least do my homework and study for upcoming tests; as my attention span is short I am planning to try the Pomodoro method, but I am open to suggestions.

Wish me luck! all comments are well received. πŸ™‚

Assigned blog post: Introduction

Hello, fellow learners and educators! πŸ“šβœ¨

I’m thrilled to kick off my blogging journey and share a bit about myself. My name is BenjamΓn Aguilar Quezada, (yes, two last names), and I’m currently on the path to becoming an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in Chile, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the adventure! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡±πŸŒπŸŽ“

As I dive into my internship in schools, one thing that sets my approach apart is my love for technology. πŸ’» During my classroom activities, my trusty laptop becomes a powerhouse of technological tools. I believe that integrating tech into teaching not only makes learning more engaging but also prepares students for the digital world they’ll inevitably navigate.

Now, I must confess, I initially thought blogging was a tad old-fashioned. However, my perspective shifted when I realized the wealth of knowledge available in well-crafted blogs. I’ve found that those with proper source lists and references can be invaluable resources, offering insights and ideas that fuel my passion for teaching. πŸ€“πŸ”

During my journey, two apps have become my ride-or-die companions in the classroom – Kahoot and Mentimeter. πŸš€ Kahoot injects an element of fun into assessments, turning the learning process into an interactive game. Meanwhile, Mentimeter transforms traditional presentations into dynamic, real-time experiences by allowing students to contribute their thoughts and ideas instantly.

As I explore the realms of ESL teaching, I’m excited to share my experiences, discoveries, and maybe a tech tip or two. Join me on this digital adventure, and let’s embrace the future of education together! πŸŒπŸ’‘

Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to share your favorite classroom tech tools or blogging resources in the comments below. Here’s to the exciting journey ahead! πŸŒˆπŸ‘©β€πŸ«
