ChatGPT
I chose ChatGPT to explore it in depth. Chatgpt is an artificial intelligence tools that is used for generating answers to questions, articles, maps, models, social media posts and many more things. While I had already heard about ChatGPT. But this time when I used ChatGPT to get ideas for my learning projects, I found that it works just like a teacher who helps and guides learners in understanding their project tasks and makes learning more innovative and creative.
ChatGpt can be a useful tool for both students and teachers. For teachers, ChatGPT can help create lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, administration tasks, and more. It makes all the work that takes up a lot of time and energy, such as assessment and grading, easy and convenient.
ChatGpt helps the students to makes notes, prepare presentations, and give creative ideas for the project works. ChatGPT helps students learn anything like, language learning. It provides essential material to learn a new language, such as grammar notes and practice sheets, writing tips and practice notes. An Interesting part of ChatGPT is students can find easy and unique methods to understand the complex diagrams and formulas of science and mathematics. I saw my sister always use ChatGPT and other AI tools while during their bachelor’s. She just uploaded the diagram or picture and ChatGPT explained it in an easy ways and she could easily understand and got good grades in her tests.
Although ChatGPT is time-sever, teachers and students do not need to spend so much time to find books in the library. They can find any course material, research paper even and get a digital dictionary on ChatGPT. As a daycare instructor, I often use ChatGPT to find art and craft ideas for kids. So, kids learn the different, innovative and creative things every day.
The ChatGpt tool has the ability to adapt to the way students learning style because it can break traditional teaching methods where students only learned what teachers taught them. Also, it does not replace teachers, but it provides different views of teaching methods and classroom activities, which helps in the holistic development of students.
Hi Babbandeep, it’s so interesting reading how you use Chat in a daycare setting. I never thought of it being used that way, but it makes sense now. You are so right, AI can never replace teachers, BUT it does potentially offer creative, flexible support. Your post made me wonder (not for the first time), how do we make sure the information is accurate and/or unbiased? I’ve caught AI messing up more than a few times, for me and my students. Yesterday, I had a student Google about animals in Saskatchewan, and the new Google AI feature provided a list of animals….including a Beluga Whale. Now, we instantly knew that wasn’t right…but what if it were a younger student or someone not from Canada? I think we have to be very careful about becoming dependent on it and critical about the information it provides. Thanks for sharing your insights.
