“SumUp”

When I started my major project learning for EC&I 831, I knew I wanted to learn something practical, creative, and meaningful. I Choose Cooking. Surprisingly, when I looked back on my learning journey, I thought, I am that person who was always scared to go in the kitchen and now I cook different dishes.

Here is my learning journey.

My experience.

Well, my experience was wonderful. Not only to improve my cooking skills but also to build confidence to use digital tools for learning. I used YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Google to get ideas. There I found easy and short tutorial videos, which gave me a better understanding. Although it’s the first time I am making my own cooking videos and uploading them on YouTube, it’s a unique feeling for me. I just felt like I was a professional chef. Of course we are going to complete this course. However, I have continued my training and tried other social media platforms and tools that I have not used yet.

What I learn.

During this course I learned that learning does not always require academic and professional development; however, it is for our personal growth when we step out of our comfort zone and overcome our fear of trying new things. Which increases confidence and self-esteem.

End up with my last post with “Vegetable Maggie.”

Thank you!

  1. Hi Babbandeep, I appreciate your comment about learning being more than for academic purposes; learning for the joy of personal growth is the best kind (in my opinion, anyway). As always, your food looks incredible. I hope you continue to infuse memories and culture into your cooking, all while sharing it with others. Best wishes.
