The semester went by fast, was challenging and hard, but we are here at the finish line now, so without further ado, let’sget into our final blog post of the semester.
This semester, the main way I offered help was through Discord, as it is what I am used to and also commenting on posts. Here are some discord interactions:
Here’s a video compilation of my weekly comments:
During these three months, I have developed a deeper understanding of educational technology and how I can teach it to my students. Firstly, Code.org is an amazing site, and I was actually able to put it to use during my 3 weeks. Coding isn’t the only thing I helped my students understand. I also taught them a bit about how online safety works and what they need to do or be aware of while online. The kids absolutely loved making games and playing them or just being online and integrating my lessons to accommodate that was not too hard and very educational to myself as well.
Overall, I learned a lot in this class and hope that I also helped others or motivated them to continue their work, which I enjoyed seeing every week. It’s also nice that if I want to try a new skill, I can just look through their posts and pick one, as they all had amazing skills they tried to learn.
Thank you everyone for the amazing semester, and have an awesome summer or spring.
