Journey Towards Truth and Reconciliation

I created my own crochet pattern which is a mix between a Medicine Wheel and a Morningstar. The Medicine Wheel represents individual strengths and weaknesses that are needed to work towards reconciliation. The Morningstar has many different meanings, a specific meaning that stuck out to me is the idea that by using our past, having those aspects guide us in the present to generate for a better future, is extremely important and applicable towards the journey of reconciliation. You will also notice that there is more than the final product in the one photo, those were originally my scraps. I went to throw these pieces out until I realized that they have more meaning than to be garbage. Those pieces represent that there are multiple steps that need to be taken towards reconciliation and it is okay to make mistakes and to change.
