Journey to Reconciliation
For one of our projects this semester we made a visual representation of our journey to reconciliation. For my project I created a “Path to Reconciliation”. The path starts with acknowledging what our ancestors have done and that way we can truly start reconciling with Indigenous peoples. After acknowledging what they did it is our duty to apologize, recognizing our mistakes and beginning to fix them. The last thing to do is respect the indigenous culture and put effort towards reconciliation. We need to be constantly making an effort to reconcile, always having the thought in the back of our minds. After all of these steps that is when you will know the path to reconciliation has been completed.
