Welcome back!
This week I was determined to learn the entire alphabet and enlisted the resource of an online book. The book I ended up finding is called “The American Sign Language Alphabet” by S.T. Lassal.

After downloading the book I was quite underwhelmed with the content. This was the first resource I had used that was not free (cost $3.99 on Apple Books) and when I downloaded the book I came to find it was less than 70 pages long. The book covers both the alphabet and numbers but the pages consist only of 2 photos of the sign from different angles.
Based off of my disappointment in this weeks resource I knew that my learning of the alphabet was going to have to come from my own commitment to practice. All throughout the week I found myself practicing my letters during my day to day tasks and below you will see the finished product of a week of committing to learning the alphabet!
I am looking forward to turning towards some ASL apps next week and to begin to convert individual signs into full sentences! Until next week- now I know my ABC’s. I hope this project is inspiring you to learn with me!
