I continue to struggle with counting my stitches! I don’t quite understand where I am going wrong…. but my first attempt at a dishcloth was looking for like a frilly collar
Frog, stitch, count. Frog, stitch, count. My PLN on Facebook came to the rescue with some excellent advice…
I will post another update when I have some real progress to show…
Give yourself some credit—you’re doing an amazing job! I’ve found that the Facebook community has been incredibly helpful in my sourdough journey as well. I didn’t fully realize just how valuable social media can be for learning and troubleshooting until I started using it for this. Keep going—you’ve got this! Wishing you lots of success on your stitching adventures!
Karissa 🙂
Well! I certainly feel as if I am learning something new from everyone’s projects. Do I sound silly if I admit I had no idea crochet involved counting?! I didn’t! I think you’re doing great – that frilly little number would look great as a cat collar. What I love best about your post is the potential for community demonstrated by your FB group. Social media often gets a bad rap, but its platform for collaborative learning is enormous. Keep it up!
Oh my goodness – I saw your more recent blog post before I saw this one. You have made LEAPS AND BOUNDS of progress in such a short time. You will definitely be whipping up some dishcloths in no time 🙂
I love crocheting! You have done an amazing job to get this far in such a short time! Counting can be difficult. I found I got a lot better at it when I could get consistent tension along my yarn. Facebook has some wonderful people who are talented at crocheting. I look forward to seeing your progress throughout the semester!
