Hey Siri, How Many Steps Did I Take Online?

I am honestly curious if Siri would be able to trace where exactly we have been online, how long we have stayed, and which sites we bounced from in a year. I wonder if it knows the scope of our digital footprint? I wonder if we know our digital footprint?

With all these questions I do not know all the answers to Siri probably knows, that’s what it was made for right?

Here is me asking Siri how big my digital footprint is.

It was completely underwhelming, I thought that it would be more in tune with what I do online than just offering how to find my digital footprint.

I ended up finding a wiki how on finding your digital footprint.

The website provided a lot of information on different ways to manage your digital footprint such as deleting old social media accounts, enabling 2 step verification, and setting up a google search alert for your name. The thing that I found to be the most alarming on this site is that it had a web link to another site to see if your data was breached.  I am too scared to put my information into the site because just the thought of me having my data breached keeps me up at night, actually having my data breached on the other hand I think I would go into panic mode and I really don’t need that in my life right now.

Reflecting on my digital footprint makes me wish that I was educated more on it when I was younger. I didn’t know that everything on the internet is tracked the way that it is. I think I almost wish that I could just live without the internet.
