This week for my learning project I decided to make muffins! My 9 year old brother picked out his own Christmas gift for me this year and he thought a jar of Nutella would be perfect, so I figured I need to use it up! So, banana and Nutella muffins is what I went with.
This is the recipe that I decided to use. Luckily, I had all of the ingredients, so I did not need to go out and buy anything. However, something I realized at the very beginning is that I do not have an electric mixer or any sort of masher, so I had to be creative when it came to mashing the bananas. I ended up just using the bottom of a glass cup and it actually went pretty smoothly! After that, everything mixed in very easy. I found that it is super important when you are filling the muffin tins, that you cannot go all the way to the top, because you are still going to add Nutella to the top to swirl in, if its already filled to the top then that is a huge risk for a big mess. Now that this is my second time doing this, I have decided that I don’t think my oven is as hot as it is supposed to be. The recipe calls for a baking time of 15-18 minutes, mine were in there for about 25. Thats perfectly okay though because as long as they taste delicious and I am in no rush, they can take as long as they need!

One thing that I found extremely useful compared to last week is that this recipe included pictures of each step. I loved this because I am very much a visual learner, and I like to know if what I am doing is right or wrong. This allowed me to stay on the right track throughout baking them. These are the pictures all throughout the recipe.
Looking at the pictures on the recipe, and then seeing that mine looked the same made me way more confident in what I was doing.

The finished product was absolutely delicious! I only tried one so far, but I would not be surprised if there is some chunks of banana because I did not have anything to properly mash them. I decided to leave a couple without Nutella, just to have a bit of variety! Thanks for reading!
