Hi, my name is Cassandra Longmuir! After completing my psychology degree, I entered into the BEAD program at the University of Regina in the Education Faculty, specifically pre-K to grade 5. Currently, I live in Regina, Saskatchewan with my boyfriend and two cats. I grew up in Calgary, Alberta, on treaty 7 land. I went through french immersion school and completed grade 12 with a French diploma. I grew up in a busy household with three siblings that also played elite-level sports.
During my first degree, I played on the Regina Cougars women’s soccer team. I played on the cougars for five years, four of which I was a leadership team member. Additionally, I earned a position on the QC United women’s team in the first semi-professional soccer league and the highest level of women’s soccer in Canada. Soccer is an activity I have always been passionate about, and I love being active and getting to play different and wonderful people.
Psychology is another passion of mine; I enjoy learning about what makes people who they are. My psychology degree inspired me to find the balance between mental and physical health, which I want to bring about in my teaching; the importance of having a balanced life. I aspire to eventually get my master’s in Educational Psychology to bring my two passions together.
