Green Cat Eye Nails for St. Patrick’s Day!
As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, what better way to celebrate than with some green nails!? Albeit, they are a pretty muted green lol!
Over the past 2.5 months, I’ve been diving into the world of DIY gel polish. From learning how to apply and remove gel polish to experimenting with some trendy designs, it’s been a fun journey. However, I find myself at a bit of a standstill. I’m more than happy to and will continue to keep doing my nails, but I feel like I’ve learned what I need to know. However, as there is still time left in class (and this assignment), does anyone have any ideas of what else to try?! I’d prefer to not but anything new, but I have tons of colours, chrome topper, and magnetic (cat eye) polish!
Those look super cute, and I love the colour! They look almost shimmery in the photo. I almost forgot it was St. Patrick’s day soon! I have noticed that you mostly do single colour nails – have you thought of trying any designs? I found a easy to follow DIY video on YouTube that might inspire you!

Wow, that’s fun for St.Patrick’s Day! What has been the hardest part of your project? I know I struggle to cut my own nails sometimes so I can only imagine how it is to do fancy nails! Just like Sam said, how much harder would it be to add in designs or patterns?

Hi Sam and Mike!
Honestly, I find it really easy to do the actual painting – it’s more difficult to make sure dog hair doesn’t get into it before I get it cured under the UV lamp lol! I think that gel polish is easier than regular polish because if you “mess up” with gel polish, you can wipe it off and it does stain or streak skin like regular polish does.
I do really like basic nails which add on effects like the cat eye or chrome look! I watched that video and I’ve done the ombre sparkle nail, but I think I would like to try the dot nail (first example :)) I will keep it in mind – thank you for the video!
