About Me

About

As far back as I can remember I have always been interested in education. During my schooling, I came across those great teachers who would push you to your full potential, and those teachers who inspired you to great things, that is when I realized that is the kind of teacher I wanted to be.

I was born November 13th 1996 but I was not like every other baby. I was diagnosed with Spina Bifida shortly after I was born. The doctors to my parents that I was never going to walk and that I would not have control over my bowel or bladder. There was also a possibility that I would require shunts in my head to drain the fluid. After undergoing M.R.I.’s, C.A.T. scans, E.E.G.’s, a huge surgery and hundreds of doctor’s appointments,my results were astonishing! I made a full recovery with little issues or concerns. I am now extremely active and I love playing softball, football and basketball. I was one of the lucky ones.

I went to Ecole Elsie Mironuck School throughout my entire elementary school education then went to Thom Collegiate for my entire high school career. I graduated high school in 2014 receiving several awards. I received honour role for having a 90.2 average, award of excellence for physical education, athletics award and a minor SRC award.

Throughout high school and university I have done a variety of community service. I have volunteered with the Special Olympics where I ran workout sessions and went bowling. I have also volunteered coaching the junior girls basketball team at Thom Collegiate and the grade 6,7 and 8 at Dr. Perry School.
