Hey everyone, my name is Chris Ireland, I’m a father, husband, student and enjoyer of many things including the outdoors, tennis, music and travelling. My past experience using educational technology has mostly been through working as a Red Cross First Aid and CPR instructor. As a First Aid instructor I would use a PowerPoint presentation that would include different audio and video portions as well as text-based information for participants. I have literally zero experience blogging but I am looking forward to trying it out! I have included an aerial video I took of a farmer seeding to see if it works, an image of people practicing CPR on a mannequin, and finally, a link to Chess.com. I am planning on doing my Learning Project on learning how to play chess so if anyone wants to sign up at Chess.com they can leave their username in the comments below and we can have a game. Thanks everyone!

Hi Chris! It’s great to learn a bit more about you, and I loved the aerial seeding video. There is something therapeutic about watching videos like this that scratches your brain in just the right way. Learning how to play chess is such a great idea! I was taught a few years ago how to play by my little brother, and let me just say, he still beats me every time. I look forward to following your learning journey and perhaps playing you in a game of chess!
