About Me

Hi!

My name is Carley McGregor.  I am a 28 year old BEAD student at the University of Regina.  I graduated from University of Saskatchewan with a Psychology degree in 2014.  I was lucky enough to travel for a few years and fall in love with teaching English abroad.  I returned to Canada to complete my CELTA at EC College in Toronto.  Upon completion, I spent 2017 in Colombia teaching English.  After this experience, I decided to finally pursue my dream and complete my Education degree!

I have a passion for reading, travel, and sports.  Generally I enjoy books about travel, social activism, and refugee/immigrant stories.  I have been lucky enough to visit a multitude of countries; my favourites being South Africa, Colombia, and Cambodia.  In my spare time you can find me playing dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, or in the mountains snowboarding.  I have also been lucky enough to sit on the committee of an amazing event called Marathon of Sport, raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics Canada.

Below are some of my favourite places and things I have done.

Teaching English at our new school in Medellin (2017).

Last day with my CELTA class in Toronto (2016).

Hiked to the top of El Penol in Guatape, Colombia (2017).

Harvesting Coffee Beans in Jardin, Colombia (2017).

Chasing Waterfalls while living abroad. (2017).

My wacky class in Arusha, Tanzania (2013).

The day I made it to Kilimanjaro summit (2013).
