Science of Reading
The science of reading is scientifically baked research that supports evidence citing that reading instruction must include phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The science of reading works best when teachers follow the scope and sequence of phonics patterns in their instruction. Additionally, decodable passages and books that follow the scope and sequence of phonics patterns are best to use. In my internship, I incorporated the science of reading into my reading instruction and five daily model. Below, I have listed science of reading resources and lesson plan I have created.
