Home Reno Blog Post #3, 🤷‍♂️

I’m going to be brutally honest with this post.  The last week at the school has been absolutely crazy and I have been unable to really get to my learning project much.

Small daughters distracting their working father who is making phone call at home.

I don’t know if this would count as a source for this assignment, however, this week I did go on the Home Depot website and was looking at pricing for various aspects of my kitchen reno.  Maybe another reason why I had a tough time getting into this post. I was slightly down after I looked at the prices of the kitchen lights, countertops. etc.

  1. Hi Daniel, it’s totally okay to be honest! Sometimes we get busy and are unable to get to some assignments. Hopefully next week you can find something that you can incorporate in to your kitchen Reno, even if it is something small!

    Well wishes,

    Amie

  2. Hi Daniel,

I think the fact that you were still researching and learning about your new interest meets the criteria for this assignment! Posting something is better than nothing! It is so disappointing when you’re wanting to improve your home and absolutely love something to use and then can’t afford it. I’ve been there! I am wondering where you have been looking for prices of kitchen lights? There is Facebook market place which has all sorts of “used” items and I have found a lot of those items are typically lightly used. I wish you the best of luck at finding what you need for your Reno’s and don’t give up the search! I appreciate your open honest voice in the post. Take care!

  3. Hi Daniel! I relate to this post greatly as I am sitting in a combine finally getting around to writing my blog post for the week 😅

I recently started redoing my kitchen as well! And I have found re-finishing aspects is a lot more cost effective than replacing them entirely! For mine I found a kit on Amazon to redo my countertop, and got a product from the brand Retique It to redo my cabinets! It cost me around $500 which when compared to the cost of new cabinets I was quite happy with!

  4. Hi Daniel,
I totally understand your situation as I always find myself in tight situations where it seems so difficult to work on a learning project. As you mentioned in your blog, doing research on appliances is also a form of learning. I think that for future blogs, having an entire blog on online research can also serve well in the learning project. Just a thought.
    Thanks.

  5. Hi Daniel! Thanks for being honest! Try to write at least 2-3 paragraphs and include photos/videos as well as links in your posts! Check the Weekly Plans page to ensure you are keeping up with all of your posts. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!
