I think I’ve officially become a Blogger, Final post
Well, this is it. This is the final blog post for the EDTC 300 blog. This has been a intriguing class. personally, I have enjoyed the structure and the format that Katia used for this class. I thought the online classes were quite engaging, I have always preferred an open conversation type class over taking

Am I a Blogger? Which one did I write? Post #8
For this post I decided to try something different. I have used AI before, however not for anything university related. I attempted to use AI once for assistance with report card comments. I used a generic comment for a subject, typed it in to Magic School AI , changed some of the wording to make

I Am a Blogger Now, are You Sure What You’re Reading is True? Post 7
How do you know what you are reading is actually true? This is a fascinating topic in my honest opinion. How do we know what we see on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, other social medias are actually giving us factual information not fake news. What is our personal algorithm telling us? Is the algorithm bias

Is this what is feels like to be a blogger? Post #6
The prompt for this blog post could be a dangerous one, depending on the person writing this post. There are many rabbit holes someone could go down with an open ended question such as this. I’m going to focus primarily on digital footprint. I find this topic to be somewhat controversial as there is no

I think I am starting to turn into a blogger? Post #5
Digital citizenship is an important aspect of school for students (especially as they get older) to take into consideration. How we represent ourselves online can have a major impact on our lives and our futures. This is a bit of a grey area, because there has been so many advances and changes in technology and

Am I a Blogger…. Again, these things are changing so fast! Post #7
Our world changes real fast. I find it interesting how much technology has changed over time. With all the changes and the obsession of technology and social media makes it difficult at times in the classroom. With the amount of time children are using technology it has created students who have little interest in anything

Am I a Blogger with only 1 post? Post #2
I feel like I’m going to sound like an old man by saying this (so not far off from how I feel). My go to online platforms are Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I use these for both academic pursuits and for leisure/social interactions. I follow a few teacher groups, one of which is Teacher Triumphs:
Intro Blog: Am I a blogger now?
Hey all,
My name is Dan Santha, and I am currently a student service teacher with Prairie Valley School Division in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. I have taught in Fort Qu’Appelle for the last 4 years. Prior to teaching I was a youth care worker and leader at a group home in Regina for almost 15 years. I am born and raised in Regina and I have lived here all my life.
I try and keep things somewhat fresh in my classroom when it comes to technology. I have used many different platform and webpages during my time in the classroom. Kahoot, Mentimetre, gimkit, and many other platforms. Google slides is one of my favorite. I always have a welcome message on the slides when students enter my classroom. Along with those slides I always had a riddle for my class to start the day. I felt like this was some out of the box thinking to get my students minds working first thing.
My new favorite website to use in the classroom is classroomscreen.com (bit.ly/3ZNW3UH). This website has a central hub that you can add widgets to. Some of the widgets include, notes, visual timer, timer, traffic light, sound level meter, dice, ect.). This is a great webside to have on the board throughout the lesson or day where students can reference the time, you can leave notes on the screen. There is an endless amount of uses for this website.
In the description for this blog post, we were asked to give our opinions on blogging. If I am honest, I dont really have an opinion on blogging. I created a blog in 2017 for another university class and that is about the extent of my blogging experience. Although, I am always willing to try new things, even if it is a second time around.
