Who Am I?
Hello everyone! My name is Elyse Woodard and I am in my third year of University, studying PreK-5 education. I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan.
My desire to interact with children and make a positive difference in their lives is why I decided to pursue a career in teaching. I am eager to get to know my kids in a classroom setting where I can inspire, educate them, engage with them and get to know them.
Family, music and animals have a very big place in my life. I have a younger brother and a mom and a dad. We are fortunate enough to celebrate with our extended family members every holiday (Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) and family celebrations. They have shaped me into who I am as a person and inspire me to be a better person for the world. Music has always been a part of my life since I was born. I was in choir, chamber choir and a few musicals during my elementary and high school years. Music has always been my happy place and hopefully I will be able to use a few musical aspects in my own classroom one day to help other students appreciate music. I have a dog and a cat in my family household. Ever since I was born I’ve always had at least one family pet in the household. They are there for you through thick and thin and give off so much kindness and happiness which inspires you to feel the same.
I hope you enjoyed reading about me!
