It is my role as a teacher to provide a nurturing environment in which students can explore identities, take risks, and learn from mistakes. My commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is not just professional goal but also a personal passion in my own life. I aim to create an environment in which students feel seen, heard, and respected. I believe in embracing diversity and fostering an environment in which students feel they belong.
My job is only done well if students can flourish socially, emotionally, and academically.
