Numbers 11-20

This week, I worked on the numbers 11-20 in ASL. I also did a little check in to see how much ASL I can remember off the top of my head so far. I have to admit that I surprised myself. I retained a lot more of it than I thought.

Anyway, I went back to *the website* again.

(This weeks 11-20 lesson from *the website*)

I found the numbers 11-20 to be really easy. It built off the other numbers a lot. (You’ll see what I mean in the video below.)

Let me recap some of my learning (alphabet, numbers 1-20, and certain words I know) so far in a video.

Anyway, this is the end of my numbers for a while. (Maybe – I’m really enjoying them, so I might continue learning them anyway. It’s really satisfying to learn these things.) After this, look forward to my next post, where I will solidify some of my knowledge of greeting words!

  1. It looks like you’re having a lot of fun with this project! I think it would be a really cool idea if you started watching videos of people doing the alphabet/numbers out of order in ASL to see how your recognition and recall have been doing. Looking forward to next week’s post!

    • I agree, I am also doing ASL and I found that there are many things that I find easy to remember in context but once the context is removed it becomes much harder. The site I used this week “SignSchool” had these tests for learning numbers or letters or whatever it may be provided them out of order or kind of jumbled which I thought was very helpful for learning and evaluating my own learning.
