My favorite Artist

This week I decided to try learning one of my favourite songs by my favourite artist Alec Benjamin on the guitar. This song is called water fountain, and I have loved listening to it for a very long time. The lyrics have always spoken to me, and when I first started learning how to play guitar, I knew I wanted to learn some of Alec Benjamin’s songs because I always see him playing his guitar on Ticktock, and it is interesting to watch.

I thought I would learn this song because I have been listening to it a lot lately since the artist recently came out, saying that the listener’s idea of the ‘water fountain’ was completely different from his. All along, people including myself, envisioned a water fountain like this:

But according to the artist Alec Benjamin the real “water fountain” he was talking about was more like this:

So I decided why not learn to play it on the guitar this week. So I opened up my new favourite source for learning songs on the guitar, Tabs. Then I found it was perfect for my current skill level. The strumming pattern was very simple and the notes changes slow enough for me to try and keep a steady pace while playing the song.

  3. Wow! Amazing job Faith! I also love this song so it’s so cool to see you learning it. I’ve always wanted to try and learn guitar but it’s something that seems very intimidating. It’s very encouraging to see you’re able to learn songs you love even as a beginner. Great work and I can’t wait to see what else you learn!

  4. Hi Faith,
Like Ava said, playing guitar can be very intimidating and mostly when I never had the opportunity to have it like me. It is very encouraging and I can see all the emotion and the passion that you are putting on it. Great job!.
