Masala Dosa’s potato recipe.
This is the side dish for the recipe called dosa in the second-week post. I have tasted masala dosa at restaurants. Today I tied my own masala dosa. I continued with Swasthi’s recipes because I found the dosa worked out well for me. The ingredients for this recipe were potatoes to boil, one large onion, 2 spoon oil to add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal all ¼ spoon and fry in oil until it turns golden brown. Then add onion and fry until it turns golden brown. Lately, add the boiled potatoes. The potatoes were not sure what quality it was from the superstore, I first boiled the potatoes in water and after half an hour they were not soft so I had to check every 10 minutes to see whether the potatoes were fully cooked. Finally, after one hour the potatoes were soft and I was able to smash them then I added the onion and added some salt to taste. I have attached the video for the full recipe in detail. Overall the potatoes were cooked and good to eat. The next recipe will be how to make chutney or sambar which also goes along with the dosa as a side dish.

Hi Fathimunisa, I actually just tried this dish a few weeks ago with at a work event and it was so good! Small world. I find it very interesting to learn about the food from around and different ingredients that are used. Admittedly I am not too familiar with Indian food aside from the mainstream butter chicken and stuff like that so thanks for sharing I may try to make this myself.
Thankyou for your comments. May be even i like to try butter chicken recipe for my cooking journey. Butter chicken is my favorite too. I always buy from Da curry house or other restaurants. I like to try one day myself.

Thankyou I tried and I liked it. Now i have recently added pictures. Previouly it said pictures were too big. Now i have adjusted and posted it. I will make another recipe soon which is also a side dish called chutney. Will post the recipe soon.

Thankyou for your comments. Even i am not a great cook. I am just learning something for this class. Actually to piano was also my passion from young age. But my parents could not effort to send or pay for my classes. Now may be i will follow you blog and learn something new.
