I’m Gabrielle Poirier and I am 19 years old. I was born in Brandon Manitoba and I have been living on a farm outside of Antler Saskatchewan all my life. I have four other siblings and one of them is my twin brother. I have a big sister who is eight years older than me and is now a chiropractor. My second oldest sister is living at home because she is deaf and needs help with things around the house. Then my older brother lives a mile from the house because he has an interest in farming, so he helps on the farm. My twin brother is also working on the farm with the family. My favourite thing to do on the farm is to go outside and enjoy nature. I spend most of my time outdoors and playing with cats and dogs. I love to go for long walks when I have time to.
My favourite thing to do is to travel. I was supposed to go to Germany this year with my class, but it got cut from Covid. My other favourite thing to do is play sports. I grew up loving sports. When I was only 5 I started Figure skating, I soon grew out of not liking that sport and I got introduced to Hockey. My twin brother played hockey so I’ve always wanted to try. Since that day I’ve played hockey for eight years, then quit for a bit, and now I play with the ladies. Throughout my life I’ve done:
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Badminton
- Soccer
- Hockey
- Dance
- Tennis
- Figure Skating
- Curling
- President of Leadership
- Yearbook
- Drama
- Cross-Country
- Track and Field
