Summary of Learning
What a course this has been! There were many topics that I had a general idea of and many that I didn’t – which allowed me to learn and grow as an educator in an ever evolving technological environment. I chose to present my learning in a new and different way by writing my summary of learning as a typed document then prompting ChatGPT to make a script that I could use to create an AI generated video. I loved our community of learners and can’t wait to see what everyone else took out of this course.

Great work, Samantha! I really enjoyed watching this. I especially liked how you highlighted your trial and error process – I think it’s such an important reminder that learning isn’t always linear. It got me thinking that it might take more than just showing my students exemplars for project, but also normalizing mistakes and showing the process of determining what needs to be changed and finding tools to change it.
Anyways, I digress, great job summarizing what you’ve learned and clearly identifying your key takeaways. Well done! 🙂
I am glad that I was able to assist in the reflection process! I think admitting to mistakes and teaching students the proper tools to explore options is really important. Every person needs to know and understand that there is going to be a need for trial and error at times and that is O.K! Thank you for watching 🙂
I really appreciated how you talked through what worked and what didn’t, it was really helpful, so thank you. Also, thanks for the meal prep motivation 🙂
Hi Sam,
Thanks for sharing your reflection, and I also appreciate your emphasis on the critical role educators play in shaping how students navigate the digital landscape. I know there are still some teachers out there who have not embraced this thing called technology, but just as you have indicated, teachers need to become adaptable and willing to learn if they want to remain relevant in this ever-changing world of digital tools.
Hi Samantha, like I said in class, I loved watching your process and critique of different video platforms. For my query letter tutorial video, I also struggled to settle on one that I truly liked – Pictory and Lumen5 seemed to rewrite my voice entirely. I have heard of Veed, but didn’t think to look there. It worked for you, and it’s a great summary of all we’ve learned. Best wishes!
