A Cheeky Magic Circle

So I will just say this learning post was a sort of a fail. This week I tried to create a magic circle using inspiration from TikTok. I tried to go the TikTok route because I thought the magic circle was going to a quick and easy skill that I would master easily. I thought wrong.

It seems like no matter what video I go on I can’t do this magic circle. I have learnt from a variety of different TikTok’s the proper way to get it started, but every time I try to move past the first step and stitch onto the circle, it doesn’t want to not have a gapping hole in the middle.

My next search after “how to crochet a magic circle” was “how to crochet a magic circle without a giant hole in the middle”. I was sadly disappointed when that search didn’t do anything. I had to stay confident that I could do it. I finally found a TikTok video that worked! Or I had just did it enough times that the odds were I had to do it as some point lol. The TikTok video that worked for me was by the creator “The Pudgy Rabbit“. I liked this video better than all the rest because she had vibrant yarn that made it easier to see each stitch she made, she also had the camera close so I could see clearer. The pace at which she demonstrated also was great, even though I had to rewatch and pause a couple times.

The only thing I wish this creator had was how I, the audience could transition into continuing the sticking on the next part of the magic circle. But that will just have to be another thing I learn I guess. For now, I am just happy I could finally make a magic circle. I guess I had to channel the inner magic in me hahah.

I am going to insert a photo of what the magic circle is supposed to look like so you have a visual of this cheeky challenge I have had
