For this week, I have gone through Tony Bates’s A short history of Educational Technology
I have also read Neil Postman’s article on Educational Changes
How to Use Education Technology (youtube.com)
I agree with you Gurjinder that technology has become a part and parcel of life. As an educator, my teaching was equally combined with the different modes of audio-visual aids. No doubt there were traditional methods of teaching but modern methods are influencing today’s generation a lot. As important as it is to incorporate and use technology we must always weigh the pros and cons of every decision.
Hi Gurjinder,
I loved your post, especially your definition of educational technology: “Educational technology simply means application of technology and wisdom in the field of Education”. This understanding aligns a lot with the examples we learned in our previous class and with Tony Bates’ and Neil Postman’s articles. Thanks for sharing your insights with us!

Hi Gurjinder, it’s nice to read your thoughts about technology. I do agree with you how technology and education cannot be separated. I witnessed how technology keeps changing. I came from traditional classroom setting, and I taught my students with the support of technology tools like projector, laptops, computers, and tablets. It proves us how technology gives positive impacts to both teachers and students if properly taught. Thank you Gurjinder for sharing.. All the best!
Blessings,
Kevin
