Being a teacher is a 24 hour a day job. Teachers must act responsibly inside and outside the school as it could affect how the public views individual teachers, and, possibly, the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation. If a teacher is acting irresponsible outside of school, it can majorly impact the trust that the public has given them. An example to explain what I’m trying to portray would be something such as a teacher going to a bar and getting into some sort of altercation. Teachers can go to a bar sometimes and have a little fun, but as soon as they get into an altercation, questions and concerns of how they are as a teacher could begin to arise. Thus, affecting how they are viewed by the public and loss of trust in their professionalism.
