About Me

Hello, tansi, bonjour, hola,

Hey there! Thank you for checking out my ePortfolio.

I am 22 years of age and in my third year of the Pre-K to 5 Bachelor of Education program at the University of Regina. From the ages of 4-19 I lived in Yorkton, Saskatchewan with my parents, two siblings, and my dog Gizmo. I stayed active by playing volleyball and basketball for six years during my school years as well as being involved as the stage manager for multiple drama productions, and a member of the Student Representative Council. Both my parents were educators which sparked my interest of becoming a teacher at a young age and who both continue to inspire the type of caring, hard-working, supportive, and memorable educator I hope to become.

Before deciding to follow my dreams of becoming an educator, I organized and led day/evening programs for children ages 6 months to 18 years old at the Boys and Girls Club of Yorkton. After moving to Regina for University in 2016 I  began working at the YWCA Century Crescent Childcare and obtained my level two in Early Childhood Education. I continue to work at the daycare and babysit regularly as well as I have spent time volunteering at the Regina Food Bank.

Once I have completed my Education degree in December 2019, I plan to travel and teach abroad to experience the world and immerse myself in the Education of different countries. My time at the University of Regina has reassured and motivated my strong passion for teaching and has helped to guide me in the right direction of becoming the educator all students need and deserve.

If you wish to contact me please feel free to do so!

Best wishes,

Hanna Hansen
