Who am I?
Hello my name is Hannah Marie Lang. I was born in Regina and was raised in White City for most of my life. I attended Ecole White City Elementary School from grade 1-8. I then continued my education at Greenall High School in Balgonie, Sk. I am currently 18 years old and I am in my first year of University pursuing an education degree focusing on middle years.
Sports:
A big passion in my life is sports. At a young age my parents introduced me to many sports including soccer, baseball, ringette, basketball, and volleyball. I grew to love soccer more than the others. I have been competitively playing soccer for 8 years and have attended Nationals twice representing Saskatchewan. Soccer taught me many life skills and created lasting friendships between my teammates and I. I tore my ACL and meniscus this past year and had reconstruction surgery which took me out from playing for a bit. In the following fall I was going to be enrolled at the U of R. I decided for myself it was better to take some time off from soccer and work on healing and getting my health better. My love for soccer will continue even if that means not playing at a high level anymore.
Interests:
I enjoy spending time outside. Every year since I was three years old, my family has driven to the mountains and spent a week hiking. This became a summertime tradition. We have travelled to many different parts of British Columbia and Alberta, making many unforgettable memories. I also enjoy travelling to new places. In the winter months of Saskatchewan, my parents typically traveled with my brother and I somewhere warm. We’ve been to Cuba, the United States, Europe, and other places. Having these experiences has widened my perspective on life. During summer time I also enjoy going to the lake relaxing, boating, fishing, and quadding through the trails with family and friends.
