My name is Jaihra Collado, and I am a third year Education student at the University of Regina.
My family and I moved to Canada from the Philippines when I was ten. I have lived in Regina since. I want to become a teacher because I love working with children and love seeing them learn new things. As well, I want to make a difference in the world around me! My mom is a teacher and I have seen her make a difference and touch many of her students’ lives, and I hope to follow her footsteps.
Throughout my high school years, I volunteered in various children programs where I found my passion for children. I am currently a volunteer teacher in my local church’s Kids Ministry. Also, I am a substitute Educational Assistant with Regina Public Schools.
