I think the word professional means to act very respectfully, to be a leader, and a very approachable person. As a teacher, you are always required to act professionally in and outside of school hours. This means that I do believe that I will be a teacher 24 hours a day. If I have to act appropriately at all times, in my head I’m going to be telling myself that “I am a teacher” and maybe I will rethink a few things like what I am wanting to post on social media or about what I was thinking of doing, etc. There have been multiple times where I have been out for groceries, out for supper, going shopping and I see one of my teachers. Even outside of school they still are always a teacher to me and when I become a teacher I will always be seen as one as well, even if it’s not during school hours. I will be seen as a role model just like some of my teachers were to me. This means to always portray positive energy, be kind and understanding as well as someone who can provide helpful advice to young children.
