Treaty acknowledgement

I want to acknowledge that today I am on traditional territory treaty 4 of First Nation people. I express my deep respect and gratitude for their stewardship of this land and their enduring contributions to its rich heritage. Treaty 4 is valuable for me because it is a place which sustains every aspect of my life it not only provides me a land to live but also the life supporting components like air, water, plants and a healthy environment to survive. As a teacher Treaty 4 is insignificant for me because it provides me a platform to understand the connections between specific groups of First Nation, moreover, it provides an opportunity to get know about the history and traditional values of indigenous people
