Field Experience

Artwork by my oldest daughter that she made one day at home quarantining from school due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I asked her to tell me about her drawing that day and this is what she said: “It’s a picture of the earth with a mask on because the COVID is spread everywhere on the earth. The hearts on the mask mean love because everybody misses each other.”

Due to the ongoing world wide COVID-19 pandemic, in person field experience in ECS 101 was not possible during this time. However, I did have the opportunity to participate in a group project about Independent Schools in Regina. My group researched and did a presentation on the Montessori School of Regina. You can view our group presentation here:

INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS GROUP PROJECT

An excerpt of some information that I contributed to our group project on Independent Schools in Saskatchewan:

Currently, there are 63 Registered Independent Schools in Saskatchewan. The residing population in Saskatchewan houses many diverse groups of people, all of which have different cultural beliefs, ethnicities and religions. In order to accommodate the diverse educational needs that the residents of Saskatchewan have for their children, we see many different independent schools within our province.
