Land Acknowledgement

The University of Regina and my home of Carlyle is located on Treaty 4 lands with a presence in Treaty 6. These are the territories of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation. I acknowledge the horrors of the past and look to the future for hopes of reconciliation and healing. I give thanks that I am given the opportunity to educate myself on these lands.
