Hello, my name is Jonathon Grant, and this is my Professional Working Portfolio. I was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and am currently attending the University of Regina in the Faculty of Education. My goal is to become a Secondary Level Social Studies and Drama Teacher.
I worked at West Bank Bible Camp for five summers, and most recently have been a host, server, and bartender at Smitty’s Restaurant and Milo’s Pub and Grill in Swift Current, SK.
Throughout High School, I was heavily involved in the Drama Program. I was on the Directorate Board, a lead Set Designer, and a Lead Actor. The most notable role I had in my time at SCCHS was Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music.
Outside of school, I have played a multitude of sports. I’ve played hockey since I was 5, and have been a goalie for most of my hockey career. I also play quite a bit of paintball and airsoft, and these are probably my favourite sports to play when the weather permits. Snowboarding is my favourite winter sports, even though I can still keep on improving myself. I’ll also never pass on a round of golf!
In my spare time (if i have any!) I can be found playing video games, working out, reading/viewing the news, studying political theory, reading historical works, or spending time with friends.
