Self Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Jolaoluwa Raji (JR), and I’m a graduate student studying sociology and social studies. I’m from Lagos, Nigeria. Google is my friend because I essentially rely on it for everything, including my sleep sound. I also take attendance and schedule kid’s activities at work using an app called Himama. Although I am here to study, I still don’t understand most modern devices, thus that doesn’t make me tech knowledgeable.

I communicate with people via social media (WhatsApp, SnapChat, and Instagram), and I also occasionally meet up with my friends in person to catch up on new things we are discovering and how we are adjusting to the weather because it is so different from Nigeria. I get advice about coping mechanisms from people who have been in Canada longer than I have.

I absolutely enjoy trying new things and seeing new places (meals, adventure, e.t.c).
