For all of my elementary and high school years I attended the schools in my small town! Coming from a small town, I had the chance to experience small class sizes. This meant that I was able to build close relationships with all of my teachers throughout the years. This is something I value, and I believe that in my journey to becoming a teacher I will work hard to create relationships with all of my students.

My first year of university I attended the University of Alberta to pursue a degree in Science with a specialization in Immunology and Infection. The plan was for me to become a doctor; however, I began to miss my experiences working with children and helping others learn. This led me to make a hard (yet simple) decision to apply to the University of Regina for a Secondary Education degree with a major in Biology (something I love!) and a minor in Inclusive Education (something I am passionate about).
