For all of my education throughout the years has been in a smaller class setting. Having experienced those smaller class settings, I really got to know all of the teachers and other students in a personal way. This helped when I got to high school because I had already gotten all of my social skills from the years before. Having these experiences makes me value the importance of knowing all the students and peers in a personal way.
Before attending the University of Regina for education this semester I was enrolled in Civil Engineering Technologies in Moose Jaw from September to December of 2019. I enjoyed the program that I attended but at the same time I knew that it was personally for me, I also felt like it wasn’t my calling in life and when I really thought about what I wanted I knew it was being a teacher. Having felt so strongly about being a teacher I choose to not continue in the program and moved to Regina where I started in January.
