If I twitter around with this for a little longer, I may get the hang of it…

This is a pretty cool bird so I thought I would share this blue bird instead of the twitter symbol…you’re welcome. I wanted to briefly discuss my endeavors with Twitter. I recently started using it for me EDTC 300 class. I’m going to be honest, I had a twitter that was practically inactive just so that I could follow storm chasers in Saskatchewan for tornados and such. I actually recorded my first tornado this summer, I have always wanted to be a tornado chaser, but I don’t live in Oklahoma…Bye Dream. Let me insert this very embarrassing link to myself on a weather channel: Jorden’s Link of Embarrassment on the…

    First Ponderings…

This is my first blog post…so as Adele states, “Go Easy on Me”. I love Adele. If you are here, it means that you probably want to inquire a little on who I am, which the website is correct, my name is Jorden Robitaille. I am a mid-twenty-year-old wife and momma. My two boys are my “W” duo, William & Walter, and they are still young little men under the age of 4. I have been told that I am very comedic, however I can’t say whether that is what I tell myself or what is confirmed by those around me. I do make people laugh though, whether that is…

This Extension Will Be a Screen Changer

Today on my blog I want to talk about Screencastify. This is a Google Chrome extension that I currently have on my Microsoft Edge web browser. This extension allows one to screen record a specific window, browser tab, or your webcam. When one is trying to deliver specific instruction on how to navigate online tools to students, the teacher can screen record so that students can better visually understand how to navigate online. Screencastify immediately records what is going on within the user’s computer on the screen. I utilized Screencastify in order to edit a video I filmed of my toddler dancing for my learning project for EDTC 300. I…

Hip-Hoppin Our Way Into the Weekend (Toddler Edition)

This week for our learning project, my toddler and I tried to attempt a Hip-Hop lesson from MihranTV on Youtube. You can follow the link to their video here: MihranTV Hip-Hop Lessons For Toddlers. I have also had the opportunity to film some of the dancing through my iPhone and also was able to edit the video through an extension called Screencastify. If you would like to know more about Screencastify, you can read about it in my blog! Here is the video of my Toddler dancing to MirhanTV video: https://watch.screencastify.com/v/YGYl2F5jBHOCeBaiPDJ0. The overall impression of this dance lesson was that it wasn’t very exciting or eccentric. My three-year-old is almost four…

    My Toddler was FROZEN…

This week my toddler and I started our first dance lesson for the Learning Project. I asked him “Do you want to do a dance lesson with mommy??” and he jumped with joy with a big “YES!”. My almost two year old also chimed in as well with excitement and decided to join the activity. I began my dance lesson search on Youtube. I searched “Dance lessons for toddlers” and there was a plethora of options out there. The video of choice was by SamCam, titled “Free Online Toddler Frozen Dance Class”, which you can click the following link to find: https://youtu.be/iG6rxoVWRoQ. She’s a very kind, and upbeat instructor, which caught…

My Toddler is the NEXT Dance Prodigy

What if I told you that a mother will teach her three year old a dance routine? Actually…lets back track, what if I told you that a mother was going to ATTEMPT to teach her three year old how to dance? That would be much more of a possible outcome. I have always danced with my kids as a way to connect with them, get them connecting with musical art, as well as for mental health purposes. My three year old has a good sense of moving and also in synchronization with music. So with all these things in mind, I thought, what a great bonding experience for my son…
