This week of my learning project I was craving something sweet! I decided to make these brownie cream cheese cupcakes, a well-loved recipe in my family! This week I did not use an online resource for a new recipe. This recipe has been in my family for a while. I made this recipe because it is my mom’s 50th birthday party this weekend, so I was asked to prepare a dessert. These are easy desserts and very delicious! I also like them because we can freeze them to keep them fresh for the party. However, since they are so popular in our household, I may have to make another batch before the party because these may be all eaten!
This week for my blog post I used TikTok again to film my video. I decided to use TikTok again as I found it very easy to navigate and a lot simpler compared to iMovie in my opinion. However, after I edited my video and uploaded it (in order to save it to my camera roll), it somehow deleted all of the edits I made. This glitch made my edited 1-minute 15-second video about 8 minutes long. Some clips were duplicated three times! So… I had to go in and re-edit everything that I just did! This was very time-consuming and frustrating as I already did the exact editing I did, but now I had to redo it all over again. As a result, I was curious afterwards and looked up if anyone else had this issue on TikTok. I found many people sharing similar issues. Some of the recommendations were to film your videos on your camera roll and then just edit on TikTok so you don’t lose all of your progress. After doing this post, maybe TikTok isn’t better than iMovie as I thought! I am unsure again if this was an issue with the app or just with my account. However, I will probably just use iMovie from now on…
Here is the recipe:
- Combine cream cheese, egg, sugar, and salt.
- Add chocolate chips. Mix.
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Whisk together.
- Next, add oil, water, and vinegar to the dry ingredients. Use an electric mixer to combine well.
- In a muffin tin size of your choice, add cupcake liners. Fill about ⅓ of the muffin tins with the chocolate mix.
- Top the rest off with the cream cheese mix. Spread.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 18-20 minutes.
- Let it cool. Enjoy!
Here is my video!
I hope you try out this recipe as it is really simple to make and doesn’t require crazy ingredients that aren’t accessible at home. It is almost nice and moist on the inside. In addition, this dessert is not extremely sweet as well because the cream cheese topping balances out the flavour! Thank you all for reading and watching!
I decided to read this on break from work and let me just say, it has left me HUNGRY!!!!! These look great! The video was awesome. Keep it up!
I love that you used a family recipe but still created a video to involve technology! I love a good cupcake and these sound absolutely delish. I would love to try making them someday!
Thanks for sharing that recipe! I started using TikTok too for one of our assignments. I gotta say I haven’t loved it for video making either!
Okay, glad im not the only one who didn’t enjoy using TikTok. It would be good if it didn’t glitch out on me!
I am fascinated by using a homemade recipe and perfecting it with technology. I love Cupcakes and will have to make them sometime! I can’t wait to see what you make next!
These look incredibly delicious, can’t wait try them !!!
