Sports have influenced my life in the best possible ways. When I was 5 years old to age 7 I danced, doing the following; tap, hip hop and jazz. Although I don’t remember much about dancing, it brought a creative side out of me. It was the one of the many reasons why I fell in love with the arts. When I was 8 years old to 17 years old I played soccer for FCR. Over the years I found soccer helped with my stress, anxiety and to relieve any sadness or anger I had. Not only was it a place for my mental health, but it taught me teamwork, compassion, confidence, to never give up, to fail, and the ability to perform under pressure. These are vital skills I am proud to bring into my teaching career.
