I will share would I didn’t like and plan to not do in my classroom. I will not have singled out desks for students. It is always helpful to have someone there to double check what you are doing our bounce an idea off of a peer. I will not have my desk at the front of the room. It is so intimidating to have to walk up to the front of the class and put yourself out there for others judgement, or feel inferior. It made some of my peers sick to their stomachs to have to walk up to the front and ask for help. I will not have my seating arrangement alphabetized. Sitting beside the same people for three years in high school was tasking. Creating relationships and socialization is important for young minds.
